Quality Builders Worldwide Upgrading to Marelon

Panama City, Fla., builder, Glasstream, debuted its new Power Cat Performance boat at the Miami Boat Show. This exciting new design uses Marelon valves throughout, including two electric remote-operated ROV valves for key onboard systems.

In choosing Marelon, Glasstream saved numerous performance-robbing pounds and the need for additional labor and cost to bond the underwater fittings.

Rowing Across the Atlantic with Forespar

Forespar has donated Marelon cleats and a "Hot Spot" mini galley for Victor Mooney's row across the Atlantic Ocean. Victor is currently rowing from Africa to Brooklyn to raise awareness for AIDS. He recently departed on his 5,000-mile adventure from the Cape Verde Islands off the African Coast in his boat "Never Give Up".

Russians Invade Miami

Probably the most unusual boat on display at the recent Miami Boat Show was the Russian Cosmonaut Recovery vehicle used to retrieve returning cosmonauts from the barren plains of the Siberian Tundra.

On sale at the show for only $350,000, this truly unique hovercraft packs 365 horsepower into a space-age gull wing design that can transport 650 pounds at more than 100 miles an hour. This is the only one still in existence of the three originally produced and has an estimated value of $2 million.
