FORESPAR'S ULTRA SERIES™

Represents the cutting edge in spinnaker pole end fitting technology. Designed for high strength, very light weight and resistance to wear and corrosion the Ultra Series™ composite end fitting is perfect for aluminum or carbon fiber spinnaker poles and whisker poles. The Ultra Series™ is the salior's choice for inshore and offshore racing and cruising. Available with or without triggers. Maximum LOA Boat Outboard End - 43′. Maximum LOA Boat Inboard End - 36′. All larger boats use GP Series. UXP

Forespar's “ULTRA” series of piston ends (UXP) offer strength and durability in a composite that is light weight and will not corrode. These ends feature a spring loaded piston with a “flag” at the end to allow the end to be “banged” onto ring cars or our FC-125 style flange cars. The come with an external trip line attached to the “flag”. All UXP style ends have a ¾″ wide jaw and will accept up to ½″ diameter line. All “ULTRA” style ends require 1.5″ minimum I.D. rings to allow movement without binding. Use on smaller I.D. rings will damage or break the ends and will not be covered under warranty. Trip lines are made of Spectra™ and are long enough for standard spinnaker poles lengths we build (see spinnaker poles page for pole lengths). Ends are shipped dry (no lubricant) and should not be lubricated. Flush with fresh water or soak in white vinegar if salt build up occurs. Maximum boat size: outboard end - 43′; Inboard end - 36′. Larger boats use “UGPS” or “GP” style outboard ends.

UTR

Forespar's “ULTRA” series of trigger ends (UTR) again, offers strength and durability in a composite that is light weight and will not corrode. These ends feature a piston that, when pulled back fully via the internal trip line, engages a trigger that keeps the piston open until the trigger is depressed. This trigger can be actuated by the end being placed onto a ring car or FC Flange car or by the line being “slapped” into the end. Note: for line to trigger the end, it must either have a load on it to hold it firm or the line must be slapped into the jaw to activate the trigger/piston. Smaller diameter lines will require more of a “slap” to activate the trigger. All UTR style ends have a ¾″ wide jaw and will accept up to ½″ diameter line. UXTR

New for 2012/13 - Forespar's “ULTRA” UXTR hybrid piston/trigger ends feature all weight savings, strength and zero corrosion as their UXP and UTR cousins. They come with a piston with a “flag” to bang onto ring cars or FC flange cars but also have the trigger feature to keep them open and ready to accept the sheet or guy. The pistons are set up to allow either external or internal trip line operation. The bodies/jaws dimensions are the same as the standard UXP and UTR ends. These ends are designed for use on spinnaker poles up to 12′ LOA. Available in 2″ and 2.5″ sizes only.
