We take safety on the water very seriously.

DID YOU KNOW…

If a person falls off a boat moving at only 3 knots, they will be 50 feet away in only 10 seconds! In waves, the person in the water will loose sight of the horseshoe buoy without an overboard pole. The person on the boat will loose sight of the victim in the water, due to waves, without an overboard pole.

Safety equipment on any boat going offshore should include U.S.C.G. approved throw-able devices, such as our CH-5 horseshoe buoys and an OP-120 or OPST-120 crew overboard pole and our WL-1 water-light for night time emergencies. The overboard pole will allow visual reference for recovery in daytime, the water-light will automatically flash for night time recovery and the horseshoe buoy will provide a flotation aid to the victim in the water.

In addition, it is advisable to have each crew member wear a personal strobe light attached to the upper arm, safety harness or crew vest when working on deck at night. Our RL-2 Personal strobe light is ideal for this use.
