An Alden 92 was recently refitted with our first carbon fiber in-boom
furling Leisure Furl system. The yacht was outfitted at the Hinckley
yard in Stuart, FL and made its maiden voyage home to Scotland in
April without incident, actually encountering 50+-knot winds with
no problems. The project was nine months of work from design concept
to final product. Forespar now makes carbon fiber Leisure Furl booms
for yachts with up to an 85-foot P dimension. Leisure Furls News Forespar
and Hylas Yachts have partnered in offering both an
aluminum or carbon mast and Leisure Furl rig for the new Hylas 66
which will premier at the Miami boat show in 2004. Hylas anticipates
2-4 of these lovely yachts to be sold each year. Summerfield boat
yard and Brad Storm are doing the commissioning in Ft. Lauderdale,
FL. 
The new Forespar "One design" and "Offshore" T-shirts
have been featured in Sailing World, SAIL, Spin Sheet and Sailing
as one of the neat new products for 2003. These nifty T-shirts have
been priced right for regatta sponsorships, dealer promotions and
yacht club fund raisers. One design features the code flags and sequences
"upside down " on the front of the shirts for quick reference,
while the "Offshore" has the flags right side up on the
back for easy crew reading.Beautiful black padded spinnaker pole covers are a must for carbon fiber poles, creating quick and easy storage. These attractive covers are now available, as well as polo shirts, sweatshirts and hats all featuring the Forespar name. NEW PRODUCTS Available now is a larger-sized Flowtech Marelon seacock. This valve has been developed for custom boats with thicker cored hulls. Builder such as Wally Yachts, Nautor and Goetz Custom Boats all expect to use these new seacocks. Part# 905109 MarkII Retail $197.80. Extra-long toggle for the AT-150-S spinnaker pole car for boats 50ft.-70ft. This toggle allows spinnaker poles up to six inches to be stored vertically on the mast. Part #333020 Retail $191.00.
